Triple the Sketch - #58

It's time to reveal Sketch #58 at Triple the Sketch. Well, the sketch was revealed yesterday, but my card is revealed today. I love this sketch! I wanted to do something vintage looking, but which also had the feel of early summer.

I used Stampin' Up cardstock (using smooth cardstock has been harder for me lately, but it was nice to dip into my vast stash for 8.5x11 smooth SU cardstock!). The printed paper is Basic Grey, and the sheet music is from an old music book I found at a yard sale. It's actually the Salvation Army Songbook from the 1930's! How cool is that?! And, yes, I ripped a page out of it!

I did a lot of layering and distressing. I also stamped some postage images on the sheet music. The bird stamp is from an older SU set, and I stamped it with green ink. The stick pin is one I created out of some wire and a bead.

I printed the sentiment on my printer. I think I saw this saying in a SU catty, and recreated it with some fonts on my computer.

I hope you enjoyed seeing my card! Make sure you visit TTS to see what the rest of the DT made. Those ladies are CRAZY talented!
