365 Cards - Hardest Challenge Yet!

That Pam at 365 Cards is trying to drive me to drink! The challenge for today was almost impossible! The challenge is to use one stamped image (can be colored) and one stamped sentiment. But NO printed paper and NO other embellishments! What?! No buttons? No ribbon? No pretty paper?! ACK! But I did it! So there, Pam, you Challenge Queen!

Instead of printed paper, I embossed my Stampin' Up cardstock with three different folders. I used the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots and the Birds and Swirls folders, and the Sizzzix Three Dots folder.

I stamped the Close to My Heart image onto white cardstock and colored it with SU markers. It looks ok, but I do have Copic envy. I wish I was half as talented as some of the other gals who use markers! This is another old stamp, from back when country was popular...maybe the mid '90s. But I still like it. And, hey maybe country will come back!

I stamped the sentiment onto a scrap of cardstock, embossed it, and then punched tags with SU punches. I think that may count as an embellie, but, I don't care! This challenge was HARD! It killed me to not add ribbon or a button. And in fact...I may have to before this card gets mailed! hee hee

I know I promised blog candy this week. I did not get to craft much over the weekend as we had all dd's celebration and Father's Day. We had a wonderful time, but it sure cramped my craft time. LOL This week I've been swamped with end of school stuff and printing graduation announcements, cards, and photos for my son. I still need to address the announcements and get them mailed. So, I hope to have the candy by the weekend! But sing with me folks...one kid down, two more to go!

ETA: To all those who think I cheated (again), go read the rules. Pam does NOT say just one sheet of cardstock or only white cardstock. She just said NO printed paper and NO embellies. She said one stamped image and one stamped sentiment. The rest...open to interpretation. And what can I say, I think OUT OF THE BOX. Y'all are just mad at me for thinking of it first. Big hecklers. And if this is a ploy to get me to make a 2nd card, just think again ladies. I have things to do, people to see, naps to take! (For newbies to my blog....this is a JOKE, don't go away frightened! LOL)

Oh I see . . . as a newbie to this challenge malarkey . . . I thought that when it said 1 stamped image and 1 stamped sentiment AND THAT'S IT . . . that was IT! So I dutifully did 2 stamps and a bit of colouring in!

So . . . you can bend the rules then?

  19. Since I haven't read the rules, I won't call you a cheater. However, knowing you as I do, I wouldn't put it past you to have cheated! LOL

As for the newbies - RUN RUN RUN (in the other direction) as fast as you can! This woman will definitely lead you astray!!
