Color Challenge

The challenge for today at 365 Cards is a "wacky" color challenge. You are to use the colors orange, blue, and pink. Since I am on the DT, and today is not my regular day...I can get away with cheating a bit. I used orange, light blue, and RASPBERRY - which is not really pink but not quite red either!

I made a 6x6 card that can be used as a birthday invitation. The paper is from the May Apron Strings Designs small kit, and is Cosmo Cricket (Lil' Man). Which is interesting...since next week the sponsor at 365 Cards is...Cosmo Cricket. (And no, my paper packet for 365 Cards was NOT Lil' Man...so this is not MORE cheating!)

I used orange and blue Bazzill cardstock, and then a raspberry bling cardstock, also from Bazzill. But I turned it over so the bling is on the back. The "red" on the Cosmo Paper is almost the same shade as the raspberry of the cardstock...almost.

I used Spellbinders nesting circles and ovals dies and a Sizzix ticket die. The stamps are Autumn Leaves (Live outloud), Stampin' Up (ticket), Melissa Frances (You're Invited), and Hero Arts (text background).

I also used the June sketch at CropStop. Again, the sketch is for a page layout, but I modified it so that I could make a card. Yes, you zealots! I do make scrapbook pages...sometimes! (Anyone know to which Pixar movie this is paying homage? hee hee)

To my faithful readers: Thank you so much for visiting me, especially those who follow the blog or read every week! I will be REWARDING those of you who follow this blog...soon! If you are new to my blog, welcome! And come again! For those of you who think I am "only" a card maker...I do scrapbook. But I will admit that I prefer cardmaking and would just as soon not make too may 12x12 scrapbook pages anymore! Please don't faint. I've been scrapbooking for almost 13 years...so I need a break from it! However, you will see some pages from time to time, and also mini albums. I will be having some new, and exciting news about mini albums soon! Stay tuned. I will also have a new CropStop announcement soon...so stay tuned for that.

  11. Love all the details in your card especially like the circle sentiment. That's how I would like to live my life :)

I would class raspberry as a darker shade of pink so I think it's allowed.

Looking forward to what you have up your sleeve. You are an amazing cardmaker and I bet your scrapbooks are droolworthy too.

    Have a great day xxx
