I have two cards for reveal day for Triple the Sketch #63. First off, we had a sponsor this week for Triple the Sketch, Pink Persimmon Stamps! Pink Persimmon is celebrating their one year anniversary by hanging out with us this week! They are sponsoring the weekly sketch challenge with an amazing $50 Gift Certificate giveaway! Check the TTS blog or the PPS site for more details.
I was lucky enough to get this wonderful NEW stamp set to play with! It's called You're a Jewel. And it's FABULOUS!
Here is the card I made with it. The paper is Bazzill and My Mind's Eye. Yes, I actually broke into my coveted stash of MME paper! I've hoarded this line ever since if first came out. It almost made me cry to cut into it! But I made a very rich and sparkly card from it.
Can you see all my bling? I even colored with glitter pens! It's hard to see in the photo, but this card really shines!
I used some lace from Rusty Pickle. I also gave the buttons some dimension by using some chipboard and pop dots. I cut all the circles, even the thin chipboard with Spellbinders dies.
And because I had already made a card with Sketch #63 before I found out about the sponsor, I also made this gift tag. I used Fancy Pants Paper. I tell you, I got two 8x8 pads of this paper for like $4 each the LSS sale, and I've used a lot of it and still have a ton left! Gotta love that!
I stamped the background with some Stampin' Up stamps.
I rubbed some ink onto the flower and the tag as well. And I used my Fiskars scallop cutting blade to make a border on my paper.
CropStop
This is actually my CropStop Embossing Specialist project for Friday. But I never get my rear in gear fast enough to actually post it on Fridays on my own blog.
Anyway, I used the Cuttlebug Script EF for the background. The image stamp is Stampin' Up.
I embossed the greeting with a NEW Quickutz EF, called Labels. This comes with 4 small labels in the package. After I embossed, I cut it out with scissors. I used my handy dandy SU punch to get the notebook edge. Love that punch!
365 Cards
Last but not least is the challenge for 365 Cards. Today we were supposed to use a silhouette on our card. That was another hard one! Pam must sit up nights thinking of these hard challenges!
I cut the dove with the Cricut Expressions and I think the Beyond Birthdays cartridge. I cut it a second time in green to get that scrap of olive branch. You can't tell from this angle, but the bird is pop dotted off the paper. I think this paper is Tinkering Ink. Inside I stamped a Sympathy greeting. I forgot to take a photo of that. (I did all 7 days of challenges again this week at 365 Cards! woot woot!)
That's the Saturday reveal. Hope you liked it! Check in tomorrow for more cards!
