Fasten Your Seatbelts!

I have a boatload of stuff to show you today! I had wanted to post some yesterday, but our DSL went out around noon on Saturday and did not come back up until late, so I am posting all this for Sunday morning instead! So, if you are looking for a challenge, please SCROLL DOWN as there is a lot to see!

First up is the 365 Cards Day 266 - Color Me With This. For this challenge you are not to use markers! Any other coloring tool is fine (pencils, chalks, pastels, etc.). I used colored pencils. It looks a bit wonky in the close-up photos, but in real life it's not so bad!

This paper is new ki memories that I got in my Nov. Apron Strings Designs Kit. It's not my normal style, but it worked out fine here. The digital image is from Digital Delights; they were the prize sponsor for 365 Cards this past week. He is called Cappuccino Pippin. He's super cute! I really want to get my hands on more of these cute stamps!

I tied a big, yummy bow with some wide sheer ribbon.

The little stamp is a very old foam mount from Stampin' Up!

Next up is the 365 Cards Sunday Sketch - Day 267. I am pretty sure Pam is hitting the hard stuff now! Holy Martinis, Batman! Check this baby out! I had to take huge liberties with this bad boy! First, I flipped it. Then, instead of using all the paper strips I used some Bella Blvd paper that already had the funky strips on it! Funny how that works out sometimes! A happy accident! (The paper is another set from the Nov. ASD kit.)

I also added some striped paper and the robot paper (all Bella Blvd) just to...make this all work! The journal block was also in the kit, but I stamped a sentiment onto it. I rounded it all out with some grads and flair! Not my best effort! WHEW!

Now, on to some exciting news. First, I had a card featured on the Our Creative Corner blog on Saturday! How cool is that?! It was my first time playing on that blog, so it was quite an honor to be featured! I also snagged a cool blinkie (check my left side-bar)! Since I had such fun playing with their sketch, I decided to do a few more sketches from there! Y'all know how I love a sketch. Well, except for sometimes when Pam loses her mind! (just kidding, Pam, don't give me the boot now!)

Here is my take of SASSC41, posted on 11/19. I flipped it upside down, naturally. Why do things the easy way?!

I really like how this turned out. I used October Afternoon papers (another set from ASD - don't they have the coolest papers?!) The journaling circle is adorable! I used a Hampton Art stamp for my sentiment. I had to mask when stamping since the stamp is a long one and I needed to break it up to fit on the circle.

Here is another card, using SASSC40, from 11/12. I also combined this one with the photo and color challenges OCC posted on 11/7 and 11/21. I love the fall colors, so this one went together very fast! I used all Basic Grey Mellow paper. The sentiment is Inkadinkado.

I found the orange tulle at my LSS, so grabbed it up!

Here is another sketch from OCC. This is SASSC39, from 11/5. I rotated this one. I also used a digi stamp from Simple Doodles . (I'll be December Guest DT for Simple Doodles, but have a few of the stamps to play with now!) This little guy is called One-Eyed Monster. He's so cute. I cannot stop laughing when I see him!

I loaded him into Photoshop and used the fill tool to color him, then I printed him out on white paper. I used stardust Stickles on his toes, and then colored his whole body with a glitter pen (right over the green ink from the printer). His teeth and eye were colored with a glaze pen, which gives them some dimension. Then I put black Stickles on his pupil. He sure sparkles!

I also printed out the sentiment that comes with Mr. Monster and attached that to the bottom of the card.

Isn't he FABBIE?! He's very sweet in person! The photos do NOT do him justice!

Ok, last card! This is another Simple Doodles digi. This one was a freebie from the other day, and she's called Precious. I love her, mostly because she's my friend Rose's cat! Trish made Rose a digi. That's really sweet! And so is Rose!

I made a 4x4 easel card. I've never made one before. It came out great. (I think I got the template from Splitcoaststampers.)

I used red Bazzill for the base. The printed paper is Creative Imaginations. I so wish I'd purchased more than one sheet of this holly paper! I've used most if it up and can't find more of it. Drat!

I did not put a sentiment on this card. I forgot to, actually. I think I'll go back and add one, or I may just keep this on my desk to enjoy through the holidays.

I colored Precious with marker, then went over her with colored pencil. It gives the color a smoother look. I used Stickles and glitter pen on the candy cane, and Stickles on the eyes. I colored her paws with a glaze pen. Too cute!

And that folks, is THE END! I will have at least one card tomorrow. I have all next week "off" AND I am in town, so I should have time to make lots of stuff. I pray my DSL does not have another fit!

  10. Gloria, I just hit the button to be one of your followers. I love your style and rule about rules LOL. I find it so difficult not to break out and do my own thing, but then I work in education and always have the fear of getting my name of the chalk (white) board! I have appreciated your comments on my blog, they always give me a smile and what a way to spend your day! Thanks for your inspiration.
