CPC - Sketch Tuesday #34

Today is the first day for me to create the Sketch Tuesday sketch for Christian Paper Crafts (CPC). You can use the sketch for a page layout, a card, or an altered project. Any paper craft you wish! If you load it to the CPC gallery, make sure you use the keywords ST34. If you load to another gallery, like Splitcoaststampers, use keywords CPC-ST34. I hope you enjoy my first sketch at CPC!

I have to confess, I was so busy working on the sketches for the next few weeks, that I forgot to create a project with this sketch! So you will have to check back later in the week to see what I make!

I also have a card for 365 Cards Day 283. The challenge for today is to pick 5, rather you are to have someone else pick 5 items from your stash, and you make a card out of it. Now, it's confession time again! I made such a stink about Pam giving me the quilling challenge yesterday that I have to eat crow and tell you that she issued this challenge a few weeks ago, then changed her mind...AFTER I had already made a card. So, I sat on this card and never posted it. So today I got a freebie. Sort of....

Anyway, dd picked my items. First she told me I could use cardstock, ink and any embossing folder I wanted; that they were FREE items. (Such a good kid!) The 5 items she picked were:

1. A tag
2. Printed paper
3. Ribbon
4. Medallion embellie
5. Stamp

I ended up inking and embossing the tag and inking the medallion. This is not my favorite card in the world, but I used the 5 items she picked for me.

I spent most of yesterday making 10 notepad holders for a party at my LSS tonight. I hope I have time to do a few things for tomorrow, but don't be surprised if I neglect the blog tomorrow! I will be back in a few days with my sample for the CPC sketch! Promise!

  2. You do a wonderful job on any card you make. This challenge looks fun, I'll get the kids to pick my items when they get home from school. I can just image what they will come up with.

  7. Beautiful card! The colors are great and I love that ribbon.

Okay, I think it's time I answered your question about the stamp set I used on my card... I was away for a while and just saw it. I didn't know what stamp set that "thank you" sentiment came from because I got it at a garage sale last year, but I did a lot of research for you! After a lot of process of elimination, guessing, and luck I finally found it. It's from Studio G, Series 16. Let me know if you have any other questions.
