The Joys of Kraft

Get it? Look closer....

Ok, ok, enough goofing around! Kraft paper is one of those things that just makes me happy. I used may last sheet (GASP! How did that happen?!), so I had to contact my SU rep and place an order for more! Whew! Crises adverted! I decided to use Kraft paper for my two cards today.

The first card is for 365 Cards - Day 278 - You Can't Miss It. We were supposed to use a stamped image that was all one color, then make a part of it pop with glitter. I also used the sketch from Practical Scrappers for this card.

I made a 5x5 card from Kraft paper, then added Cosmo Cricket paper and Creative Imaginations paper. I love the vintage feel of these papers. And the CI (the newspaper looking one) paper has been in my stash for AGES! The image is a digi stamp from KLM Digital Designs. I printed it out, then added red Stickles. I think the color is fired brick distress Stickles. I "aged" the image with old paper distress ink. It is so hard for me to NOT color the image...I may have to color it later...after the challenge is over. (I have to cheat once this week! Come on!)

Check out these buttons! I love buttons. You simply cannot have too many of them! I tied on some ecru DMC floss and attached them with Glue Dots - another thing you cannot have too much of!

The next card is for CropStop for their December sketch challenge. The CT is to try to do one sketch a month. They give a layout sketch and a card sketch. I normally manage to do the card, but the layout...once in a while. The sketches are all by PageMaps.

Again, I used the Kraft paper. This is so not my normal style. The only printed paper is that scrap on the right edge! I used glitter rub-ons from Little Yellow Bicycle. I've had them a while, so some of the glitter has...rubbed off.

I have to go eat lunch now. Gotta keep my strength up!
