Simple Doodles Sneak Peek - and 365 Cards Catch-up

Happy Wednesday, folks! I have to confess to being in a funk for the past few days. We had to take our cat for surgery on Tuesday, and the bill was astronomical. But, I love my kids to pieces and they love that cat, so I paid the bill. I was feeling very upset over it, but God does work in mysterious ways, and I am feeling better today. He showed me that He does provide for all our needs...even vet bills! Plus, some very happy crafty things happened in the past few days, so that made me perk up a bit, plus some online shopping put the icing on my cake!

In fact, last night I cranked out these three cards, just to show you that I am fine! This first card is a sneak peek at Simple Doodles. I am one of the guest DT for December and we each got 15 digi stamps to play with! I used the Rudolph one here.

I made a 5x5 card and then decorated it with the new Stampin' Up paper. It's really pretty paper! I printed Ruddy sort of big and colored him with markers. Then, I used some Sparkly Fluff on his nose! Haylie Jo from CropStop sent me some in my last order...just to try. It was kind of cool. To get the fluff to stick, I used Art Glitter designer adhesive to "color in" the nose. (The 365 Cards DT got some of this glue when Art Glitter was our sponsor over the summer.) Then, I sprinkled the fluff over the glue and let it dry. (I did try some other glues, but they did NOT work. The glue needs to be sort of thick.)

It's hard to see the sparkle, but the nose does have some sparkly and is soft and cute. I also used a sketch for this layout. I used SSSC46. There will be more sneak peeks at Simple Doodles gearing up for the Dec. 10th release of the new stamps!

I also have two catch-up days for 365 Cards. I do not play along every day, but I do try. The DT is not required to play all the days, but I find it fun to challenge myself. So, last night I caught up with Day 276 and 277.

The challenge for Day 276 was to use an angel on your card. I did not have an angel digi stamp from KLM Digital Designs (who are the 365 Cards sponsor this week), so I used a stamp that I got from Walmart.

I stamped the angel and colored her with markers and Stickles. The paper is Basic Grey (figgy pudding) that I have been hoarding. The greeting stamp is also from the Walmart set. (Who knew Walmart had their own stamp line?)

Check out that fabbie crochet flower! My mother-in-law made me about 100 of these in different sizes and colors! She's a peach! I used a sketch for this card too - sketch #31 at CPC.

The challenge for Day 277 was to use just a fraction of a stamp. Well, the two stamps I received from KLM were hard to use for this challenge, so I decided to use a bit of the wreath stamp I got to make an inchie card. I actually scraplifted a card I made when Pam gave us an inchie challenge on 365 Cards a number of weeks ago! I love to cheat off myself.

I used more of this yummy Stampin' Up paper! The shape of the inchie was achieved with a Creative Memories punch! Oh yeah! I have all the tools! And a friend who can get me CM stuff at a discount!

Before I go for the day, I wanted to announce that I won this award at Stampin' Sisters in Christ this week! For the card shown below! Woot woot! It was so nice to get the CT spot at Faith Sisters AND this top three award from Stampin' Sisters in the same day!
My Card was featured at SSCC!
