365 Cards Day 324

When Pam gives me a Musical Monday Challenge at 365 Cards, I never know if I should be happy or cower in fear. Sometimes, it's a nice easy challenge and then - there is today! This is what Pam sent me:

A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes....from Disney's Cinderella

Hmmmm. Ok then. I dragged out my dress stamp, my shoe stamp, some paper, and....nothing. Not a hint of inspiration. So, as you may have read in yesterday's post, I went hunting in my stash. I was sure I had some Disney stuff in there, since we live 45 min. from Disneyland, and I knew I had hoarded some things to use in my scrapbooks...

And YAY! I found a whole pack of Disney Princess stuff that I got from Creative Memories a while back. It's pretty rare for me to buy CM stuff as it's not normally my style, but I did snag a bunch of this Disney stuff for a project that, well, I never made! Anyway, here is my card!

I made a blue card with some DCWV and SU (white) cardstock. Then I added the CM printed paper and some white dot ribbon. The Cinderella sticker is from the CM set. I added some tiny pearls for her earring and dress buttons, and larger pearls in the corners.

I kept fooling with this as it did not look finished. So I ended up adding the huge button, stick pins, and paper roses, plus the "dream" stamp. (The inside says, "Make a Wish.")

I agree that this is not really my color palette, but it works for a little girl's birthday card. I think some sewing would look great, but alas, I need some sewing lessons. My pal Melody has promised to show me how to do it at our retreat in February! She's the queen of sewing on cards! She is on the My Favorite Things DT and the Splitcoast Dirty Dozen, so you know she's FANTASTIC!

Ok blogging palies. Come back tomorrow for the CPC sketch!

If I get to do this challenge, I think I will not use Cinderella image... I do have something in mind, only I'm not sure I'll have the time (a lot of pressure at work and at home :().
