ASD Reveal Day 3 and 365 Cards Day 317

Here is the last of the Apron Strings Designs January Card Kit Reveals! (If you are looking for the 365 Cards Day 317 card, scroll to the bottom of the post.)The last paper line is American Crafts Romance. I love this line! It's all pinks and reds and chocolate brown! Yum!

Here is an A2 size card. This is yet another way to use small paper scraps, by matting them with cardstock and making a "triptych" on your card. (A triptych is a work consisting of three panels.)

This yummy sheer ribbon is also in the kit! I used one of my little stamps for the greeting, and cut it out with my Nestie dies. I cannot recommend these Spellbinders dies often enough!

Here is another view of all the layers on this card. If you've never tried layering before, here is your chance to buy a kit and full-color instructions for making 7 cards and one altered project, for only $18. Visit ASD to sign up for your kit! For those of you who are master-card makers, I'd love to see what YOU can make with these yummy papers!

This next card is a 5x5 card. This is my favorite size to make. I know you need a square envelope and extra postage, but I just love this size. If you don't care for square cards, it's pretty easy to modify the design to fit an A2 size. Give it a try!

I used a Cuttlebug Folder to give the cream paper some visual interest. This is the Perfectly Paisley folder. I used some flower punches and scallop circle dies to make the flower out of paper scraps. (You would think I have no paper scraps, but I still seem to accumulate a ton of them!)

I also had enough paper left over to make this 3.5x3.5 inch gift card. I used a Inkadinkado stamp for the little greeting. One more way of using up smaller pieces of cardstock and paper is to make gift cards and gift tags. I try to keep a good supply in kiddie themes for all the gifts my youngest son needs to give to his little friends. Sometimes it seems as if he has a party to attend every week!

There you have it! Three days of reveals! I hope you enjoyed what I did with my first ever ASD card kit! Now, here is my 365 Cards Monday Challenge (Day 317). Pam is back to drinking her special coffee... She wants us to use 8, count 'em, 8 DIFFERENT colors on our card! Is she crazy? But she gave me a hint...I can color an image. And since our sponsor is In Style Stamps it was pretty easy after all.
I used the Butterfly image and colored it with: blue, green, yellow, orange, pink, brown, then I used black and white for my card. That's 8 colors! I did use different shades of the colors, but only counted them once. See what a good girl I am!

I had some issues cutting the butterfly out and snipped off his antennae! So I replaced them with wire. I used a glaze pen for his eyes. The paper is KI Memories. I used a white pen to make dots on the black cardstock circle.

This card also matches the Crafty Creations challenge - black and white with a touch of color.

ETA: I realized that this also matches the challenge at Stampin' Sisters in Christ this week.

WHEW! That was a long post. Hope you have a groovy day!
