Sunday Two-fer

I have two challenges to share with you today.

Welcome to the first 365 Cards sketch of 2010. Pam gave us a good one for today!

I've not had a chance to play along with 365 Cards for the past few weeks. I know you are broken hearted...but I have too much on my plate to be able to play along every day any more. But I'll still be here for Sunday and Monday, as always! And if I get a chance, I'll try to sneak in a card here and there on other days! So, on to my card:

I ended up making a pocket card to hold these little tags. The paper is Scenic Route sentimental bulls eye. The paper is double sided and the flip side is that yummy script paper. I got this at the 2008 Scrapbook Expo and am just now getting around to using it. (Go figure, right?!) The cardstock is Bazzill and SU.

I found the tags in my stash and think a friend cut them with her Cricut, but am not sure. I had a bunch of them, so stamped on them with some collage stamps. The stamps are Stampin' Up, Paper Inspirations, and Inkadinkado. I used Tim Holtz frayed burlap ink. Those fibers have also been in my stash for years and years.

Check back tomorrow for the 365 Cards Monday Challenge.

I also have a Simple Doodles challenge to share. You are to make a project where HEARTS are the theme. You must use at least one Simple Doodles image on your card and post it with Mr. Linky. Also, from now until Jan. 7th SD will share some sneak peeks of the new releases, so watch for that. I'll be showing those off here on my blog as well.

Here is my card for the hearts challenge. I used the Precious Heart image, which you can purchase for $1.

I loaded the image into Photoshop and "colorized" it with the fill tool, then added the white text to the heart. Pretty cool, huh? The paper is Karen Foster and the cardstock is SU and Bazzill. The velvet trim is Basic Grey, I think. The heart brad has been in my stash forever, just waiting for the perfect card! Doesn't this card remind you of the little valentines you used to get as a kid?
