Christian Paper Crafts Sketch Tuesday #45

I have another CPC Sketch for you today. This is #45. I love making these sketches, but will confess that I found this one hard to use. I flipped the sketch and took some liberties with it. It should make some of you happy to know that I cannot even use my own sketches "properly"!

I am on a vintage kick, especially since I just purchased a bunch of the new Graphic 45 papers! I used the On the Boardwalk and Fashionista collections for this card.

I've been seeing these flowers all over the internet, so wanted to try my hand at them. Wow! What fun! I cut 10 scallop circles out of pages of an old book, using Spellbinders Nestie dies. I stacked them together and fastened the stack with a mini brad. Then, I just crumpled the layers, one at a time and "smooshed" at them to get the flower shape. Once I had what I wanted, I sprayed the flower with two of my "Gloria mists." One mist is a mix of SU cranberry and Holiday Red re-inkers and white Pearl Ex. The other mist is a mix of SU creamy caramel re-inker and aztec gold re-inker. I ended up making a bunch of these, but only one seemed to fit on the card for today.

The greeting is a SU stamp. I also misted a mulberry paper rose with the cranberry mist. It was a sort of mauve/pink when I started. The paper soaks up the mist very well, which helps to change the color. I use an old box for my "misting station" to keep from misting everything in sight!

I hope you enjoy today's card and that you get some inspiration from the sketch. Make sure to stop over a the CPC site and let me know you made a card. You can load to the gallery there. Put CPCST45 in your key words so we can find your work!

Stop back tomorrow for another My Lifetime Story page layout!
