CropStop Friday Embossing 2/19

I have a simple embossing project for you today. I also combined my project with the CropStop Weekly Challenge #7 which was to make an altered notepad cover or a coupon holder. I made a cover for a 2.5x8 inch notepad. This pad is one I purchased from Papertrey Ink, but I also have some that I got at Staples Office Supply. I purchased the 5x8 pads and paid the guy at Staples a few bucks to cut them in half. Worked like a charm! The Papertrey pads are only 1/8" thick where the Staples ones are 1/4" thick.

I made the holder from American Crafts cardstock and Pink Paislee paper from my February Apron Strings Designs kit. I used the flower border from the Cuttlebug Border Frills set to emboss pink Bazzill.

I decorated the flowers with pearls. This is a mish mash of Basic Grey, Kaisercraft, and Recollections pearls. All yummy. You can't have too many pearls!

I stamped the title with a Papertrey Ink stamp.

Thanks for dropping by today. I am going to the Convention Center today, to see the home and garden show, and also the King Tut exhibit! We are playing hooky from PE class and going down this morning to visit the show. This is the first family outing we've had in a while. I'll report on how it goes tomorrow.
