This was an easy one for me....you have to read all the way to the end of the post to see why!
I've had this Pink Paislee paper in my stash for a while, but I was not hoarding it! Honest! I have a bin of papers that I have purchased, then I look at them a few weeks later, I have no idea WHY. I did not purchase anything to go with them...just these single, sad sheets of paper! Anyway, I love the damask pattern on this sheet, and it goes so well with the Close to My Heart printed vellum that's been in my stash for YEARS! And you know how I love a red/black/white combo! So, I put them together, and ta da!
I added some yummy May Arts ribbon and this delish trim. I got the trim at Joann Fabrics the other day. They had some great trims for sale by the spool. How cool is that?! I was going to get some "by the yard" stuff, but there was chaos at the cut table, so I kept looking around and found a whole wall of "by the spool" stuff and it was all on sale. Woot woot!
I added some Prima flowers in red and hot pink and this very cool flower brad that I found hiding in my stash.
Ok, now, here is the reason why this challenge was so easy. A few months back, Pam gave us a white space challenge at 365 Cards. Looks very similar, no?
Here is the card I made for that challenge. I loved it so much, that I scraplifted myself for the new challenge at OCC. What can I say. You knew the cheating cheater was bound to come out sooner or later! I even used the same vellum.

Hmmm, can see similarities here. Like moving the flowers to one side or the other of the oval - how hard is that one! lol I think I like the red/black/white card the best - an what a find at Joann's - haven't been in there in forever!!
ReplyDeleteStunning cards! Love the flowers that you added. Especially on the bottom card. Really pretty!

Gloria, these are spectacular gilr! I love the vellum windows! I've got tons of really nice vellum sheets, and never really use them, but seeing how great they look - I should really go for it! :)
