Altered Art and Graphic45

Hey there blogger buddies! I thought I'd show this little altered birdhouse I made for the Graphic45 Bog in July. It was not used on the blog, so I am free to show you here. I had been wanting to do something like this for a long time, so when I saw this little windmill birdhouse for $1.99 at Michael's, I snapped it up!

I covered the birdhouse with Graphic45 Le' Romantique papers. Some areas were very hard! It took a long time, but the end result is very cool. If I do say so myself!

For the front of the birdhouse, I used the Le' Romantique Tender Missives paper. I collaged the stamp images to cover the surface.

The windmill was difficult since it did not come apart. But, I covered each paddle with Well Groomed paper, and did a lot of sanding!

I glued some flowers and pearls to the front.

I am not sure what to do with this now that I've made it. Perhaps it's something my mom would like. She loves to feed the birds, so maybe this would be a nice decoration for her room or something. Mom, if you are reading the blog...pretend you don't see this! (Mom has access to the Internet since she's staying with my older brother for a while.)

Make sure you check out Tammy's FANTASTIC project on the Graphic45 Blog today! It's so amazing! She is one talented lady!
