The papers are Basic Grey from the Cappella and Wander lines. I have these in the 6x6 pad, but the regular 12x12 came in the kit, so I used those. The image is an old one from Stampin' Up. It was tiny for coloring, but once I finished it, I loved how it turned out.
I am submitting this to the Really Reasonable Ribbon Challenge #9. They asked for a fall theme. I think this is fall, especially fall here in southern California where we don't have leaves that turn or corn fields, and so on. But we do have flowers and fruit! For the next card, I used more of the Basic Grey Wander paper, but I added a bit from My Mind's Eye. The greens go pretty well together.
This is another Stampin' Up image. (I never sold SU, but I've been buying their stamps for YEARS and YEARS! So I have a huge collection!) I used my trusty Spellbinders oval dies and Fiskars border punch. This card is so simple, but I resisted adding a bunch of stuff to it. I wanted the image to pop, and I think it does.
I had planned to enter a bunch of challenges this week, but time got away from me, and I'm too late! I did use some of the sketches from the Verve Stamps WCMD challenges. They are similar in style to the Mojo Monday sketches, and some of my favorites to use. My end product does not look much like the sketches, but...that happens!
Note: Happy Birthday to my daughter, Laura. She's 15 today! She has grown into an amazing young lady. She is not a papercrafter, but she is very musical (singing, playing piano and guitar), so I forgive her for not wanting to play in the paper hoard with me!
Great cards! Thanks so much for joining our Really Reasonable Ribbon Challenge.
