Graphic45 Mini Album

Update: Due to some sales tax issues, I will NOT be able to sell kits at this time. So sorry, but the law is the law...

I have a feast for your eyes today, folks! I created this 4x9 mini album for the Graphic45 Blog using the NEW G45 Black Policy Envelopes! I pulled out the Fashionista, Domestic Goddess, and Times Nouveau collections, plus lots of other fun goodies!

Each album has 6 envelope pages. For this album, I glued the envelope flaps closed as I did not need them. I just wanted to use them as pages for my mini.

Check out these fantastic flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts! Aren't they yummy?!

I added some Maya Road pins to each floral arrangement.

The chipboard letters are Maya Road. I covered them with white ink (Stampin' Up Whisper White), then with a thin coat of glue. I sprinkled them with silver German glass glitter (The Cat's Pajamas). I removed some of the glitter to make the letters look worn and old.

That yummy chipboard bird is from Maya Road. About 2-3 years ago Maya Road released a set of chipboard coaster albums that were between the size of the current coasters and the little key chains. They were called minis, and I got my hands on a bunch of them. I love this size as it's perfect for embellishing mini albums or scrapbook pages. I covered my bird with G45 paper, and "roughed him up" a little bit.

Each page of my album is covered with dark red Bazzill card stock and a selection of G45 papers. Plus other bits of this and that. If you are wondering why there are no photos in this album...you'll need to read to the end of the post to find out!

One of my favorite papers from G45 is this dot/cherry paper from the Times Nouveau line, called Bee's Knees. I just love it. It reminds me of some curtains my mother used to have in our kitchen!

I pulled out some old journaling and quote stickers and used them in my album. I have tons of this stuff around here. Not sure exactly WHY I hoard this stuff!

I used some G45 trims and flowers, plus the new chipboard buttons. I also found some packages of doilies at Michael's Craft Store. They are cheap and easy to find! Gotta love that!

For this page I used a Maya Road chipboard frame and a bird cut with the Tim Holtz bird cage die to make a little "scene" for my page. I love all the texture and dimension.

Mini albums are a great way to get lumpy and creative with your photos. I have baskets of these little dudes in my house and have almost given up on making 12x12 layouts. Almost...not 100%...

I used the mini Maya Road chipboard bird cage and bird for this page. I adore all these birds. My parents were avid bird watchers and always had many kinds of bird feeders on our property. I miss seeing so many birds. We don't have many here at our house. However, my husband just put in a fountain in the front, and the little birds love it. It's probably the only source of water in the neighborhood - it's very dry here - so they flock to it. I tease him about his birdie hot tub!

I love the Jenni Bowlin mini bingo cards. They always make a great addition to my projects.

I glittered this Maya Road bird, and gave him a sparkly eye. If you don't have gems to use for eyes, a drop of Stickles works just as well.

If you don't care for glitter, you can paint your birds, or cover them with paper. My friends will faint when they see that I actually used loose glitter for this project!

This is the last page. More flowers and chipboard buttons.

Now we come to the reason there are no photos in this album...because this is going to be sold at Cool Scrapbook Stuff as a kit. Y'all know I don't normally use photos when I design for a kit or a class. I always feel my photos distract you from the project and you can't see how you can use it as you focus too much on how I used it. So, no photos. I'm redesigning a few elements and packing everything up with full-color directions. The kits should be in the store before Thanksgiving and will sell for $35-$40, plus any tax or shipping required. My kits always come jam packed with goodies, plus full sheets of paper! I am sure you will find this will be no exception! As soon as Gena has kits in the store, I'll post about it here!
