Graphic45 Christmas Stocking

Each of the Graphic45 DT members were asked to create a paper Christmas stocking so that we could have something fun to post this week on the G45 blog. I decided that I wanted to break the mold a little...so instead of using the Christmas Past line for my stocking...I used the Steampunk Debutante line!

Graphic45 provided us with a stocking template...thankfully. I do no draw so I was happy to use the template provided. I traced and cut one stocking from heavy weight cardstock, then cut another one from Core'dinations Core Impressions cardstock. The embossing on the paper makes my stocking look like it's made from embossed velvet or something! I love it!

I used the NEW Papertrey Ink banner dies to cut the topper for my stocking. I embellished it with tiny pearls from Queen and Company. I also tied on some wrinkle ribbon that I dyed, and some twine. The facets I tied on to the top are from Making Memories. I really love their new vintage items. They go perfectly with Graphic45 papers!

I added some of the Steampunk images, plus some flowers, metal, and pearls. I love this color palette, and was just giddy over creating a Christmas project with it! And y'all know how I love me some grunge...

The chipboard letters are Maya Road. I inked them with Ranger Distress ink (Vintage Photo), then covered them with Ranger Stickles (Cinnamon). Very sparkly!

I hope your Christmas crafts are finished and you are putting your feet up and relaxing. I always try to have time in the days before Christmas to read about the Birth of Christ in all four of the Gospels. If you have never done that, I encourage you to give it a go this year! Each of the Gospel writers comes at the story from a different point of view, and reading all four paints a full picture of the birth of our Savior.

I will have a post go live on Friday...but if you don't get a chance to check back until next week...you will see more new projects then! I have a full week of CropStop creations coming up n the next 7-10 days! Remember, CropStop is searching for a new DT for the ALL NEW Challenge Blog! Check here for details.
