Time Flies

I have a layout to share with you today. I made this for the Spellbinders™ Idea Gallery. My goal was to somehow use the Retro Mod Clocks templates. I had some photos of my husband and me that I wanted to scrapbook, and the "time flies" idea just stuck with me!

This is Matt and me on our wedding day September 5, 1987 and on our anniversary trip to London, September 2007. Twenty years passed in a blink! We just celebrated our 24th anniversary last month, and I cannot think how four MORE years just flew by! I guess we are having way too much FUN!

I went with a pale blue color scheme to match the sky and my shirt in the second photo. Besides, blue is Matt's favorite color!

I cut and embossed the large clock from Core'dinations cardstock, and sanded the cardstock to reveal the pale blue core. Then, I cut the large butterfly out of designer paper using Nested Butterflies Two. I glued the butterfly behind the clock...ta da! A flying clock...time flies...get it?!

I painted some chipboard monogram letters black, then distressed them with gray ink. I cut some gears with the Sprightly Sprockets die templates, and added clock faces to them. All the cardstock is sanded to show the pale blue core.

Hope you find some time to play with YOUR Spellbinders dies this weekend. How can you combine your templates and make something NEW?!
