Graphic 45 Little Darlings Tag

For each CHA trade show Graphic 45 asks the team to do one project that is "special." In the past they've had us create record albums, treat bags, and tags. This year, for the Winter 2012 show, we were each asked to create a tag using Graphic 45 Staples packaging.

I chose to use the packaging from one of the Ornate Metal Door Plate and Knob Staples. It's a longer tag, and makes a perfect canvas. We could use any of the four new collections, and I chose Little Darlings!

I love this paper line. I don't have any baby photos to scrapbook since my kids are older (20, 16, 11) and I have finished all of their baby albums. Normally I am not much for pastels, but I adore this paper collection. I don't know why I love it so much! Maybe it's the "dimples" thing...  Growing up my family called me "dolly dimples"! Yes, it is painful to admit to such a nickname, but there it is!

I used Copic Markers to color the little girl's hair a darker shade. I was strawberry blond, verging on auburn as a little girl so I made this little girl's hair a darker shade. The paper takes the Copic Marker very well, no bleeding at all.

I found some flowers in the blues and pinks to match the paper, plus a few pins. I even made a pin of my own from some vintage baubles I found in my stash.

I wanted a clothespin on my layout, so covered one with paper. When I got to CHA I saw that Graphic 45 now has Metal Clothespins! The team did not get any to play with in time for the show, so the one I used is wooden, but let's pretend, ok?

Make sure you visit the Graphic 45 Blog all week as they will reveal all the Design Team Tags! You won't be disappointed! Also, check the blog for the on-going contests! There is always a prize to be won! If you have not sent in your design team application, you have until the end of the day, February 26th to get that in!
