Curiosity is a GOOD Thing! - Graphic 45

Here we are, Day 4 of Graphic 45 Cards Week! Good thing I make so many cards, right?!

Once again, I use papers from the Olde Curiosity Shoppe collection. I love the "tongue in cheek" humor of this collection. It's a Jules Verne meets Charles Dickens meets Jane Austen meets Stephen King sort of vibe!

I love butterflies. In fact, several times, for our homeschool science project, we have gotten Painted Lady caterpillars and "hatched" butterflies. And some of our outcomes have been a bit Olde Curiosity Shoppe-ish! Anyway, the butterflies in this collection are BEAUTIFUL!

I created a collage from small elements cut from the papers. I love the pop of orange in the butterfly. Can you read the label on the green jar? I put it next to the legs.....get it?

I used more of the Imaginarium Designs chipboard items, including the "thank you" sentiment. (For those asking, the chipboards will soon be coming to stores in the USA! I will keep you posted!)

I love my layers. You can never have too many layers...until it comes time to actually mail the card! Yipes!

Well, tomorrow is the BIG day! Graphic 45 will announce the 2012 team tomorrow. I hope I can sleep tonight!

  3. I was eyeing this up over at the G45 blog. Very nice! You are so right about layers - my cards can get ridiculous, but in a good way!

I wish you luck tomorrow, too! I'm really on the edge of my seat. The morning wait for the G45 lovelies on the West Coast to wake up and post is going to kill me. Haha!

    Cheers,
    Susan
