Good-bye, Spellbinders!
Today is my last official day as part of the 2011-2012 Spellbinders Design Team. What a crazy year it has been! I really worked hard this year and letting go of this team is bittersweet. I made the choice in November not to apply for the 2012-2013 team. I LOVE Spellbinders products; I have enjoyed working with everyone on the team; I will miss working closely with this innovative company. I wish the new teams all the best!
The most amazing thing about working with Spellbinders has been the NEW products. I have a few projects to share using the NEW M-Bossabilities™ embossing folders.
The best thing about the new M-Bossabilities is that they are DOUBLE SIDED! You get two designs per folder! How stinkin' cool is that?! Those of you who have followed my blog for a long time know that I used to be the "embossing folder expert" for CropStop. So you know I love me some folders!
I embossed the white cardstock with the B side of the Enchanted M-Bossabilities folder. I then rubbed chalk ink over the raised surface. So pretty!
I cut and embossed the bird and branch from the Mix'd Media Elements set, and inked everything. You may wonder where I got the tiny flowers for my branch. Well, Classic Decorative Inserts Five Edgeabilities® contains tiny flowers, which are the negatives when you cut and emboss the die template! I saved them and used them to make buds!
Such a pretty card. I don't make many simple cards, but when trying to showcase the die templates, less is more a lot of the time!
I also use the M-Bossabilities to create a notepad holder.
I used cardstock to create a cover for a basic notepad. Then, using Core'dinations cardstock, I embossed a panel to cover the front. Purple is NOT my go-to color, but I loved these jewel tones together.
After embossing the paper, I sanded the Core'dinations cardstock to reveal the pale core.
For a complete supply list for both project, look below.
Before I sign off, I want to not only thank Spellbinders for a GREAT year, but also the many companies that gave the design team product to work with. So, THANK YOU to these amazing companies:
