Happiness Card - Imaginarium Designs
I have a cute little card for you today. I know, those of you who prefer my vintage work cannot wrap your minds around my cutsie stuff...but you'll get over it! {grin} I think there is a girlie-girl hiding inside me, just a little bit!
Anyway, one day, as I was making my Imaginarium Designs projects for March, I was also coloring some new stamps...and this card is what came from that happy day!
I really wanted to show that Imaginarium Designs chipboard can be used for simple and cute projects. I think, looking at the ID Blog, you could get the idea that this chipboard is only for a certain type of crafter. I am here to tell you, it's for EVERYBODY!
I cut several items apart to create this card. I cut the word art into two pieces, I trimmed the cars from the train, and I even trimmed down the train track! You don't have to use things as they come in the package. (And with me, I often use up the packaging, too!) I wove paper through the train track to mimic the look of ribbon. Let's me feel like I used ribbon, but keeps the card from getting too girly.
I used Copic alcohol markers, not only to color the little stamped image, but also to color the word art. I used Ranger Distress ink to color the train and track. Once the ink was dry, I sprayed the train with Goosebumps Texture Spray. I allowed that to dry, then added the dots with Ranger Picket Fence Distress Marker. The white maker really did show up on top of the texture spray! Who knew?
The story behind the flowers coming out of the train smoke stack...after I had the card finished I thought, "Now, what does a boy holding flowers have to do with trains?!" So I added the paper flowers! {eye roll}
Make sure you visit the ID Blog to see what the other designers have made. Those ladies are so creative they'll blow your socks off! To purchase Imaginarium Designs Chipboard, click HERE.
