Spellbinders and Page Maps

I am sure you have heard the exciting news that Spellbinders™ has teamed up with Becky Fleck of PageMaps™ to create die templates based on Becky's fantastic sketches! If not, click the links and read all about it!

"Spellbinders is happy to announce a new die line created by PageMaps designer Becky Fleck. On the first of every month, fans will see a new set of dies created by Becky, coordinating with that month's PageMaps!"

I have been a fan of Becky's PageMaps and CardMaps for a long time. In fact, I had a chance to create for her newsletter a few years ago! I was very excited to be asked to create a card for the March 2012 PageMaps Newsletter using Becky's NEW S4-359 Office Supplies die templates (the February set). There is a new set for March...read all about it on the PageMaps Blog.

Here is Becky's fantastic sketch! And it's a square! You know how I love me some square cards!

And here is my card.

I used Graphic 45 papers. My new favorite collection is An ABC Primer. I love the colors and tones of this paper. Plus, who doesn't love school items?! I homeschool my kids - and it's 80% due to the papers, pencils, markers, notebooks, etc. {grin}

I replaced the stars in the sketch with vintage buttons. These are "real vintage" buttons! My mom sent me two boxes of old buttons that she found...somewhere. Mom lives with my second oldest brother and his wife in North Carolina. They all love to go to sales and swap meets, so I told them to buy old junk for me to use...and they have found some great stuff!

I love how the Graphic 45 Decades ink looks. Such a nice black, and such crisp impressions! But check out the torn notebook die template! Is that genius or what?!

I hope you enjoyed my take on the sketch. Make sure you visit PageMaps to see all of the sketches for March!
