Welcome to my first post as part of the CSW Distributors Blog Team. CSW is the United States wholesale link between Couture Creations, which is a manufacturer, and the end user. CSW decided to ask the US team members from the Couture Creations design team to act as the CSW blog team as well. (If you need to buy retail, visit CropStop and check out all the Couture Creations products that they sell. CropStop is affiliated with CSW Distributors.) So, here I am!
The team is sharing creations using the Hepburn Embossing folder this week. Here is what I made for you.
It felt a bit funny to NOT grab some printed paper for this card, but I wanted the pretty, metallic cardstock and the embossing to really stand out. I used the Couture Creations Roses nested die set to cut an opening for my sentiment.
I embossed a second piece of the cardstock and cut the nested roses from it. I then, sprayed the cardstock lightly with water and crumpled each flower. Once they were dry, I inked each rose shape and created a "crumpled" flower for my card.
To make my window more dimensional, I attached the embossed cardstock to the card front with foam tape.
Thanks for looking!

ReplyDeleteVery lovely card. The embossing folder is gorgeous. I love how you were able to match the rose by inking it yourself. I always forget about doing that and end up relentlessly digging through my drawer of flowers.
