December 1st through December 12th, on the Graphic 45 Blog, you will see a card designed by me, plus a gift tutorial inspired by my card and created by one of the current G45 team!
On the Tenth Day of Christmas My True Love Gave to Me...
Ten Lords a-Leaping
There is something about leaping lords that makes me giggle! This lord and his lady are sure leaping up a storm!
I created a blue, 5x5-inch card, lined with cream cardstock. I matted my papers and images with black cardstock. I fussy the lord's and lady's feet (River Dance anyone?!) and used a circle template to trim out the top part of the image. To accomplish this, lightly trace the circle shape onto the images, noting where you want to start and stop fussy cutting. Once you have cut out the portion of the images with scissors, place the die cut template over the image, making sure the fussy cut parts are OUTSIDE the die cut. And then, die cut as normal.
Here is another lady loves her sparkle! I added glitter to her dress and tiara. I also added a plush velvet flower.
I love pairing the soft blues and pinks with traditional red and green. So pretty and festive.
I decorated the inside of the card a sticker and strips of paper.
Now go over to the Graphic 45 Blog to see Maria's gift tutorial! I hope you go on to visit at Maria's Blog! Maria is such a sweetie! Her blog is filled with her wonderful, layered creations. She has such an eye for the unexpected! Her work is eye candy, pure and simple!

I am laughing out loud right now. This card is so gorgeous....love all your fun details, especially the way you fussy cut around the bottom edge of the images. But can you believe that I scrapped the card I had planned for the Ladies' Dancing card and used this image instead? How hilarious is that? Your card is better though! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteYou're amazing.
