Day 12 - Graphic 45 The Twelve Days of Gift Tutorials

I am teaming up with the Graphic 45 Design Team for an amazing Twelve Days of Christmas event!

December 1st through December 12th, on the Graphic 45 Blog, you will see a card designed by me, plus a gift tutorial inspired by my card and created by one of the current G45 team!

Ok, folks. We are are on the last day of the event! I hope you have enjoyed all of the projects! Weren't the G45 DT gift tutorials AMAZING?! Remember, come back tomorrow for another set of twelve cards!

The second set of cards will incorporate The Twelve Days of Christmas STAMPS, printable project sheets are included! Plus, you will get directions to make a matching 12x12 card box!

On the Twelfth Day of Christmas My True Love Gave to Me...

Twelve Drummers Drumming
This was the hardest card of the entire set to complete. It took me days of creating and rejecting to finish this card. Perhaps because it is the last one or maybe because I was unsure which image to chose. I am happy with the outcome and love the small details such as the glitter flower centers and my "real wood" drum sticks!

I created a gold, 5x5-inch card, lined with cream cardstock. I used red and green to mat my other papers. I used a deckle-edge die cut template to trim out my drum image.

I am happy to have purchased a set of Christmas trinkets and that I hoarded them for just this set of projects. They added just the right vintage touch to the cards! I love the vintage metal paired with the sparkle on the flowers.

I cut the flowers with a poinsettia die and then chalked the veins with white chalk ink to give the flowers more dimension. The drum sticks are actually toothpicks cut to size and "stained" with an alcohol marker! {very proud designer moment - I let out the engineer side of me for a minute}

I decorated the inside of the card a sticker and a strip of paper.

Now go over to the Graphic 45 Blog to see Nichola's gift tutorial! I hope you go on to visit at Nichola's Blog! Nichola creates the most amazing dimensional art pieces. I look at her work and marvel at what she can create from printed paper!

Remember, leave Graphic 45 a Blog or Facebook comment for a chance to win this amazing prize! A grand prize winner will be announced on the Graphic 45 blog at the end of this event, on Friday, December 13th.

Dear ones, that is the last of this series. I had such fun sharing these cards with you. I hope you will tune in for the next few days to see another The Twelve Days of Christmas set...in a totally different style! I will be offering up a prize package at the end of the next series!

ETA: Happy 22nd birthday to my amazing son, Nathan! {I am not really sure how he can be 22 when I am only, ahem, 29.....}
