December 1st through December 12th, on the Graphic 45 Blog, you will see a card designed by me, plus a gift tutorial inspired by my card and created by one of the current G45 team!
On the Third Day of Christmas My True Love Gave to Me...
Three French Hens
It was pretty hard not to break out the French Country papers and pair it up with 12 Days of Christmas! I mean, French hens need a French rooster, right?! But, I stayed within the confines of my assignments and ONLY used the Christmas paper. Check out the little hen and her chicks!
One of my aunts lived on a farm and she had little hens that looked just like these French Hens. I used to love to chase them. Once, my aunt gave me a "switching" for scaring the hens. She said they wouldn't lay eggs and "she wouldn't have that"! {oops}
I created a 5x5 inch black card, and used coral and peach for matting the layers and lining the inside of the card.
I created "fluffy" bows with three colors of ribbon and glued them to the top of the card. I love making these bows. I added a button, some string, and a "sugared" berry as the finishing touch.
I added a tiny flower and more berries, plus a die cut leaf to the bottom corner of the card. I also used glitter glue to "jazz up" the number three in the title.
I decorated the inside of the card with a postage image sticker and a strip from the Joyeux Noel paper.
Head on to the Graphic 45 Blog to see Annette's gift tutorial project. Annette is one of my favorite G45 designers, so take a look at Annette's Blog. I think perhaps her style is very similar to mine, so I always love what she makes! Her video tutorials are wonderful as well.
Remember, leave Graphic 45 a Blog or Facebook comment for a chance to win this amazing prize! A grand prize winner will be announced on the Graphic 45 blog at the end of this event, on Friday, December 13th.

Gloria, these are such beautiful card designs from my favorite paper company! I do have 1 question though. How many pads of the "12 Days" did you use to complete all 12 cards? I have seen many cards made from the various G45 series but when I attempted to make them, I realized I didn't have enough pads to complete more than 1 or 2 of them. I am attempting to plan ahead for the future so I know how so to stock up! Thank you so much.
