December 1st through December 12th, on the Graphic 45 Blog, you will see a card designed by me, plus a gift tutorial inspired by my card and created by one of the current G45 team!
On the Fifth Day of Christmas My True Love Gave to Me...
Five Golden Rings
Christmas projects are the perfect time to mix your metals! The sparkle and shine of the holiday season is perfect for glittery gold and silver, but also the more vintage metals as I have shown here.
Make a 5x5 gold card and line it with cream cardstock. I matted my papers with a gold metallic cardstock for even more shimmer.
I created visual interest by fussing cutting the large ring and ribbon image from the Golden Rings paper. Then I created a loopy bow out of real ribbon (thin silk) and glued it onto the paper bow.
I paired one of the Graphic 45 Ornate Metal Keyhole Staples with a fancy brad and a Christmas charm to add vintage sparkle to the card. I sanded all the metal to take down some of the "brassy shine" and give the items a more vintage look.
I decorated the inside of the card with a postage image sticker and a strip from the Joyeux Noel paper. I added a bit of pop by fussing cutting another ring from the Golden Rings paper and attaching it to the inside of the card with foam tape.
Remember, leave Graphic 45 a Blog or Facebook comment for a chance to win this amazing prize! A grand prize winner will be announced on the Graphic 45 blog at the end of this event, on Friday, December 13th.
