Heartfelt Creations Wednesday - Warmest Wishes

Good morning, Blogger Peeps! I am so excited to share today's project with you. I am brand new on the Heartfelt Creations design team, and I am having so much fun playing with the stamps, dies, and paper!

As part of our design team "starter box," we were able to select paper to work with, and for one of my choices, I picked the Festive Christmas Collection. I knew I had a small window of opportunity to use this particular paper because the DT already has the November, January, and February releases to work with! But I sneaked this project in under the wire!

My favorite color in all the world is cranberry red. You can imagine my joy at seeing the paper! Plus, I made some fantastic flowers using HC stamps and dies! Do you want to make this card? Well, grab your stuff and let's go!

Create a 6" x 5 1/2" card by trimming raspberry cardstock to 12" x 5 1/2". Score at 6" to make a top-fold card. Trim damask Festive Christmas paper to 5 7/8" x 5 3/8". Rub edges with Aged Mahogany and Fired Brick Distress ink. Attach damask panel to the card front.

Using the large Decorative Blossom Corner Die, trim two shapes from Champagne Petallics cardstock. Attach decorative corners to the upper left and lower right corners of the card.

Trim pre-made ornament image from Festive Christmas paper, rub edges with ink, and mat with raspberry cardstock. Using foam squares, attach image to the center of the card.

To create the flowers, stamp the Sun Kissed Fleur image with black dye ink onto raspberry, maroon, and cinnamon cardstock. Stamp the image once for each cardstock color. Use the Sun Kissed Fleur Die to cut out the flowers. Color the flowers with Distress inks, mist with water, and shape. Glue flowers together to form three large blooms and one small bloom. Add yellow beads to the flower centers. Lightly brush the flowers with white paint. Arrange the flowers on the card front as shown, making sure to place the smallest flower above the pre-printed ornament image.

Stamp the Open Leaf images onto green cardstock with black ink. Cut the leaves with the Classic Leaf Dies. Ink the edges of the leaves, mist with water, and shape. Snip the leaves apart and add to the flowers as shown.

Use the oval label die from the Luggage and Tags Die set to cut the "warmest wishes" sentiment from Festive Christmas paper. Attach the tag to the left of the small flower. Create a triple bow from sheer gold ribbon and glue to ornament image.

Decorate the inside of the card by trimming white cardstock to 5 7/8" x 5 3/8". Rub edges with ink and attach to the inside top of the card. Trim damask paper to 5 7/8" x 5 3/8". Rub edges with ink and attach to the inside bottom of the card.  Trim a journal block from the Festive Christmas collection and attach to the center of the inside panel.

Do you feel all warm and cozy?! I sure do! Thanks for stopping by!
