I have three cards to share, using the new release items that I got to play with. I had fun trying some new techniques, so I hope you enjoy looking! {well, new techniques to me, anyway}
For this card, I used a lot of vintage-look paper. The paper is sort of vintage in actual age, too! I really had to look deep into my paper stash to find papers that had both pink and red in the scheme! I used images from the Baked For You set. To create the sentiment, I stamped "for you" and then I masked the cherry image and stamped just the stem to form a comma! Then I stamped "cupcake." Tricky, right?!
I stamped the cupcake from the Baked For You set once on cardstock and once on printed paper. I stamped the cherry once onto cardstock. I colored everything, then I cut the cupcake from the printed paper and then removed the top. I also cut out the cherry. (See here to purchase the Baked For You dies.) I reassembled the cupcake, and then added Frosted Lace Stickles to the frosting and Glossy Accents to the cherry. I cut the main image with a circle die.
For the inside, I stamped an image from the Birthday Word Art set.
I used the Birthday Word Die to trim the word from pink, sparkly cardstock. I edged the die cut shape with darker pink ink. I also added orange Stickles to the candle to represent flame. I attach the die cut word to the card front with foam tape.
I stamped a sentiment from the Companion Words stamp set onto cream sparkly cardstock with silver ink. I trimmed the sentiment into a banner shape and attached it to the card front with foam tape.
I had fun making my very fist shaker card!
And my last card for today...
And my last card for today...
I created a scene using the Bare Tree Die, plus the birds cut with the Forest Silhouettes die set. This is a technique that I don't do very often - create scenes. I think it turned out cute!
I stamped a sentiment from the Precious Poppies stamp set and trimmed it out with a tag shape from the Mini Tags die set. I also created custom paper by stamping the Scripture from the Scripture and Sentiment Companion stamp set over and over on the printed paper.
The Scripture is very subtle, but here is a close up of what it looks like. I was thinking about how, we as Christians are told to "hide the Word of God in our heart." And also about subliminal messages. So here is your subliminal message from God. {smile} Psalm 67:1 - God be merciful unto us, and bless us; and cause his face to shine upon us.
For the inside, I used the companion stamp. I love this set. It is so uplifting!
