Heartfelt Creations Wednesday - Especially For You

The Heartfelt Creations November Release, Romantique Garden, is such a sweet and pretty collection! I am having such fun creating cards with it! I have to say, since I joined the Heartfelt team I have a renewed creative spirit! I am loving creating flowers especially! {For those of you reading this on Tuesday night, I am not losing my mind...it is already midnight on the Heartfelt Creations Blog...so, it's Wednesday somewhere! Wink}

To make this 5" x 5" card, start by trimming dark pink cardstock to 10" x 5". Score at 5" to make a top-fold card. Layer white cardstock of 4 7/8" x 4 7/8", light pink cardstock of 4 3/4" x 4 3/4, and pale pink Romantique Garden paper of  4 5/8" x 4 5/8" together. Wrap a length of pink ribbon around the stacked panel and attach at the back with tape. (Note: my bows are always "faux" bows, meaning they are not tied directly onto the card, but created and glued into place.)

Place the layered panel onto the card front with strong adhesive. Mat green Romantique Garden paper of 2 3/8" x 4 1/8" with white cardstock of 2 1/2" x 4 1/4". Place green panel in the lower left corner of the card front.

Layer white cardstock of 4" x 3", dark pink cardstock of 3 7/8" x 2 7/8", and darker pink Romantique Garden paper of 3 3/4" x 2 3/4". Attach darker pink panel to the upper right corner of the card, slipping the panel under the ribbon, and overlapping the green panel.{I know that this is a lot of layers! If it is too much for you, skip them!}

Using the tag die template from the Luggage and Tags Die Set, trim out the swan tag image from Romantique Garden paper. Mat with dark pink cardstock and attach to the center of the card, slipping the top of the tag under the ribbon.

Cut the two vines from green cardstock with the Romantique Garden Die Set. Cut a set of leaves from green cardstock with the Sweet Juliet Die Set. (You can use any leaves or vines that you have on hand.)

Using black dye ink, stamp the vines and leaves with the Large Elegant Word Background stamp. Trim the flower shapes from both vines, making sure the stems are intact. Glue the two vines to the card in a heart-shaped arch, framing the swan image as shown.

Stamp the petals image from the Heartthrob PreCut Set several times onto ivory paper. Use the coordinating petals die template from the Romantique Garden Die Set to cut out the petals. Color each bloom by sponging it with ink. Shape blooms and add to the die cut vines with foam squares, lining up a flower with each stem.

Stamp the Sun Kissed Fleur image several times onto ivory paper. Use the coordinating Sun Kissed Fleur die template to cut out the flowers. Color each small flower by sponging it with ink. (Set the larger flowers aside for another project.) Shape blooms and add to the die cut vines with glue. Trim the Sweet Juliet leaves apart and add to the flower clusters as shown.

Trim the sentiments from the Romantique Garden paper and attach one to the center of the card with foam squares. Attach the ticket sentiment to the top right corner of the card at an angle. Tie a loopy bow from white and pink ribbon and attach to the upper left corner of the card as shown. Optional: line the inside of the card with white cardstock.

This card is a very soft, pastel card, with pops of pink and green! The satin ribbon is just the right finishing touch!
