The little treat box is 7" x 2 1/4" x
1" (including the handle) and the little card is 4 1/2" x 4 1/2" square. I used the pink and green papers from the NEW Birds and Blooms Collection for this project.
To create the treat box, cut graphite cardstock to 7" x 6". Score at 1", 3 1/4",
4 1/4", and 6 1/2" on the 7" side. Rotate the cardstock and
score at 1" on the 6" side. Fold on all score lines. Place your cardstock
so that the 1" score lines are on the left and bottom of the cardstock. Cut
all score lines up to the 1" score at the bottom of the cardstock. Remove
the small 1" x 1/2" section on the bottom right corner.
Decorate the panels by trimming Birds and Blooms paper as follows: trim two pieces of the pink print at 4 7/8" x 7/8", and trim two pieces of the green and pink floral print at 4 7/8" x 2 1/8. Attach the panels to the box. Trim another piece of the pink print at 7/8" x 2 1/8" and attach to the second small section below the 1" score line.
To create little flaps at the top of the box, trim graphite cardstock to 1 5/8" x 1 5/8". Trim the piece in half to create two triangles. Round the bottom corner of each triangle and attach one to the top front of the box, and one to the top rear of the box. Trim the pink print to 1 1/2" x 1 1/2". Trim the piece in half to create two triangles. Round the bottom corner of each triangle and attach to the two cardstock triangles.
Place strong adhesive on the 1/2" right-hand tab and on one of the bottom tabs. Fold and assemble the box.
To create the handle, trim graphite cardstock to 6" x 1". Trim green and pink floral paper to 6" x 7/8". Attach the printed paper to the cardstock to make the handle. Glue the handle to the inside of the box, on the left and right sides.
Decorate the box by stamping the three fluffy birds image from the Birds and Blooms Cling Stamp Set onto white cardstock with gray ink. Use the Birds and Blooms Die to trim out a right-facing bird. Color the bird with markers.
Stamp the leaves from the Leafy Branch Cling Stamp Set onto white cardstock with gray ink. Color the leaves with markers and trim out with the Leafy Branch leaf dies.
Stamp the small branch from the Leafy Branch Cling Stamp Set with brown ink onto white cardstock, trim the branch with the Leafy Branch die. Color the branch with markers.
With gray ink, stamp the flower petals from the Birds and Blooms Cling Stamp Set onto white cardstock. Color with markers and trim out with the Leafy Branch flower die.
Shape the flowers, bird, and leaves using the flower-shaping tools. Snip a section of the brown branch and glue it to the center of the box as shown. Cut the leaves apart as desired and layer them onto the branch. Use foam tape to attach the bird. Add the flowers as shown. Glue black pearls to each flower center.
Add leaves and flowers to the top right corner of the box. Use the tag die from the Luggage and Tags die set to trim the Celebrate sentiment from the Birds and Blooms paper. Rub the edges of the sentiment with Spun Sugar ink and attach it to the top left of the box. Add a pink bow to the top of the handle. Place treats into a clear treat bag. Tie the top with ribbon and tuck the treats into the box.
Create a 4 1/2" x 4 1/2" gift card by cutting graphite cardstock to 9" x 4 1/2" and scoring at 4 1/2" to make a square, top-fold card. Trim the 6" x 6" Birds and Blooms striped paper to 4 3/8" x 4 3/8". Wrap the top with pink ribbon and attach the panel to the card front.
Using circle die templates, trim the bird image from the Birds and Blooms paper. Trim a larger circle from graphite cardstock. Attach the bird image to the cardstock circle with foam squares. Attach the image to the top left side of the card front with foam squares.
Trim green and pink floral paper to 7/8" x 4 3/8" and mat with graphite cardstock cut to 1" x 4 3/8". Attach the green strip to the bottom of the card, approximately 1/4" from the bottom. Add a pink bow to the top right of the image as shown.
Decorate the inside of the card by trimming pink swirl paper to 4 3/8" x 4 3/8". Rub the edges with Spun Sugar ink. Attach the paper to the inside of the card. Use the ticket die from the Luggage and Tags die set to trim out the "My Wish for You" sentiment from the Birds and Blooms paper. Rub the edges of the ticket with Spun Sugar ink and attach the sentiment to the inside of the card.

ReplyDeleteBoth the card and the box are amazing. Thanks for sharing this with us.
ReplyDeleteThis is so lovely...and what a fabby tute! Thanks for sharing the details on building that cute box. I love the way you spotlighted the fluffy birdie...and I love that the paper you chose makes me think of a picket fence. Very clever. The green accent border really grounds the whole card front...and the inside is as pretty as the outside.
