Enjoy!
Now, on to my project share for today! Canvas Corp Brands is announcing the Creative Crew today!

I am a Vintage Market Contributor for CCB, which means I make and share vintage-inspired projects using all of the Canvas Corp Brands products!

For our Crew introduction, each designer was asked to create a 4" x 4" canvas using the Canvas Corp Natural Stretched Canvas. We were to create a project which represented our style. Here is my little art piece!

First, let me say, working with a 4" x 4" space was...interesting. It seems small, but you can pack a huge amount of stuff into that small space! While trying to think of what to do for my project, I decided to pick my colors and prepare the canvas. I sprayed the canvas with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist (Atlantic) and allowed it to dry.

I used a gel adhesive to attach a piece of 7 Gypsies Maritime paper to the canvas. I fell in love with the map and compass print on this paper. I rolled the bottom right corner to allow the canvas to peek out. I settled on this gal from the 7 Gypsies Trousseau collection as my focal image. She looks like she's a woman who knows her own mind, just like me! {grin}

I snipped some phrases and words from the 7 Gypsies Gypsy Moments paper collection (A Novel Thought and Express Yourself).

I tucked a few chipboard items under the edges of my image. I painted these with High Impact Mixed Media White Paint  and then rubbed them with distress ink. I also used a few 7 Gypsies Industrial Gears to accent my piece and give it that grunge look I love.

Any you know, I must use flowers with my industrial colors and embellishments! I misted some of the flowers with Atlantic Glimmer Mist. I also used a bit of High Impact Mixed Media White Paint to give the flowers more of a shabby look. Once the paint dried I lightly misted the flowers again.

I think this little canvas expresses my personality and my creative style perfectly! Thanks for joining me today. Stop over to the Canvas Corp Blog and see what the rest of the team has made! Please take the time to VOTE for your favorite canvas!
