One of the first collections I worked with on the 2010 design team was Le Romantique. If you liked that collection, you will LOVE Mon Amour! The colors are rich, vibrate, and so very vintage! The images are stunning and romantic. For those of you who missed out on the older collection, you will be pleased to know that this new edition of "love themed" paper is gorgeous and a pleasure to work with!
I created this 5" x 6" card using the 12" x 12" papers and lots of flowers! I tucked a Shabby Chic Ornate Metal Key and Key Hole in with the flowers. Plus, I added a bingo number. The 28 stands for how many years of marriage my husband and I will celebrate on September 5th!
I created a ribbon and twine bow, topped with a Shabby Chic Ornate Metal Brad. My ribbon passion is GINGHAM and PLAID. Even when it is not so popular, I just love gingham! I think it is always proper to use gingham ribbon in vintage projects. {wink} Here I have used Light Pink Gingham ribbon topped with ivory twine. {I confess that I purchase the twine by the 400 yard spool.}
This card has a lot of dimension and will require a box or padded mailer in order to send it to anyone. I love nothing more than to glue tons of flowers and metal to my cards. They always weigh too much, but...I love how they look and cannot stop myself from adding "just one more" bloom!
As always, I decorated the inside as well. The rose print on the Dearest Darling paper is just lovely. It reminds me of vintage aprons and wall paper and curtains - so soft and feminine.
Thanks for looking. Come back next week for a peeky at A Christmas Carol!
