Easter Blessings Card

If you are looking for the Graphic 45 Cityscapes Card, please click HERE.

Good Morning! This is my first post as part of the CutCardstock Design Team! I am so happy to share an Easter card with you today!

It is not often that I create anything that could be considered "clean and simple," but this card is pretty close. It is very hard for me to leave all that white space! I have been trying to stretch myself to do more CAS cards, but, man, it is a HARD JOB! I normally use many prints and layers, but the CCS Curious Metallic Cardstock is so beautiful and lustrous that I wanted it to be the star of the show!

To create this card, construct a 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" top-folding card base from Violette Curious Metallic Cardstock.
Trim a piece of Ice Silver Curious Metallic Cardstock to 5 1/4" x 4" and stamp the sentiment in the upper right corner with iris pigment ink. To keep the ink from smearing, emboss it with clear embossing powder.

To create the ribbon border, wrap two strips of White Polyester Satin Ribbon around the center of the card as shown, securing at the back. Then wrap a piece of purple gingham ribbon around the space between the white ribbon.

Attach the stamped panel to the card front with strong, double-sided tape. Tie a large double bow from the gingham ribbon and glue to the top of the ribbon border. Tie a loopy bow from iridescent string and glue to the top of the gingham bow.

Use Violette and Botanic Curious Metallic Cardstock and die cut templates to cut a large butterfly, leaves, and small flowers to decorate the card front. Glue the die cut items in place, using the card sample as a guide. Glue pearls to the butterfly and to the center of each flower.

To decorate the inside of the card, cut a piece of Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock to 5 1/4" x 4" and attach it to the top inside panel. Stamp the sentiment onto another piece of Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock with iris pigment ink and emboss with clear embossing powder. Use a lacy oval die cut template to cut out the sentiment. Attach the sentiment to the bottom inside panel with foam adhesive squares.

Thanks for looking!
