Double Tri-Shutter Gate-fold Card!

Hello and good morning. I am back with another Cheery Lynn Designs guest post! I have been having so much fun with all my new dies!
I have created a card that is a mouthful, in more ways than one! I am calling this card a Double Tri-shutter Gate-fold Card. The paper collection I am using is the brand new Graphic 45 Cafe Parisian, which is all about yummy goodies!
I wanted to create a special "thank you" project so that I could use the beautiful Thank You Die. Once I saw how stunning the French Pastry Doily Die looked cut out of ivory cardstock, I went "all out" with a chocolate and vanilla confectionery delight! I have to tell you, folks, that I had more fun than is necessary while creating this project! However, I really, really, really wanted cake after I was finished!
The card folds to 6" x 8 1/2" and is approximately 1/8" thick.
I created a belly band to hold the card closed. I took inspiration from the paper collection and decided to create "chocolate" embellishments by die cutting the leaves and lettering from dark brown cardstock. I also created a pretty bow with the Pretty Pretty Bows Die.
Once you slip the belly band off the card, the card opens to slightly wider than 36"! I simply created two tri-shutter fold cards and attached them in the center. I added a gate-fold section on each end. To print example directions for a basic shutter-fold card, click HERE. My dimensions are slightly different, but you can get the general idea.
The folded card is pure confection eye candy, or cake!
I used some 6" x 4" decorative panels, but they could be replaced with photos.
Each panel has pretty paper and a few panels contain fussy cut or die cut elements.
I continued the theme of "chocolate" leaves and lettering. The pretty God Bless Die continues the "thank you" theme. (You could change out the lettering and make this a birthday card or congratulations card.)
I added another pretty bow and more images from the paper. The card base is made from ivory cardstock. Each image and paper section is matted with dark brown cardstock.
Those cakes look so real...and so tasty!
Thanks for looking! I will be back on August 21st with a new project! Until then, stay cool and create pretty things!
