Welcome! I am guest designing once again for Graciellie Design’s Digital Stamps!
Today is day 1 of the Fall Fest blog hop. This month Graciellie Design is celebrating with lots of giveaways, sales and inspiration! Each day you'll have the chance to win a digital stamp set of your choice from the Graciellie Design's shop following our blog hops. We've prepared a bunch of beautiful projects for your crafty inspiration so we invite you to join the fun.
Digital stamps are so versatile and easy to use. Plus, they are super affordable! Today I am sharing a card with you using one of Gracie's new sets called Good Thoughts, part of the August 2016 Release. If you purchase the release bundle, you get 6 stamp sets for $20! Individual sets normally sell for around $5.
I love harvest images and I think that the artwork on this digital stamp is stunning! I ended up printing the main image several times, in different sizes just to see how it would work up into a card.
I used my Lexmark printer to print the images, because my Epson printer is still malfunctioning. However, the Lexmark has been acting up lately, too! I did get some really great black images, printed on white cardstock. But I also tried some fun things with...well...let's take this one step at a time! {grin}I colored one image with Copic markers, but when I started to make the card, I had a "mishap"! I did not want to re-color the image, so I ended up fussy cutting around the edges of the image. The finished card is standard A2 size.
I popped the image off the card front with foam adhesive. I decided to attach the image to a white panel, which I shaded a bit with Copic markers. I used a stitched die template to cut out the white panel. Then I added some lace, ribbon, and twine for a fall statement!
I wanted to make a second card, because, well, I just wanted to!
I had been playing around with some of the Filters in Photoshop Elements (do NOT ask me which ones!), and I ended up with a white image on a black background. It looked super cool, so I changed one of the sentiments to white text also and added that to the top of the panel. I printed the new image onto white cardstock (I am sure I sucked my black ink dry!)
Well, remember that my Lexmark is not really working correctly?! I forgot to tell it to use "only black ink" so it printed the image with all the colors to make black, and somehow, the white areas became sort of....colorized! It is so interesting!! I paired the image with some hot pink ribbon. Very HOT!

ReplyDeleteAmazing and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteStunning cards both so different yet elegant as your cards always are. Love the coloring and dimension on the first and the clever filter used to print the image on the second one. Thanks so much for being part of this blog hop.
ReplyDeletelovely card, I love grape vines.
ReplyDeleteI love the sharp contrast between the black and white and the hot pink ribbon!
ReplyDeleteMy stamp favorite are Good Thoughts and Thinking of you. You showed this stamp off beautifully. I love your coloring and dimension on the first card. Excellent.
ReplyDeleteI craft in two locations so using digi images really makes sense. If I have my laptop, I have SO many images to work with. The colors and texture of the ribbon makes the first one my favorite. Don't even know what "fillers" are, LOL!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThe mishap still made two beautiful cards!
