Really Reasonable Ribbon March Blog Hop

Welcome to the Really Reasonable Ribbon March Blog HopYou should be coming to my blog from the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog. (For the complete blog list, scroll to the bottom of the post.) After visiting me, hop over to the spectacular Judy's Blog next! (Miss Ginny is sitting out this month due to some bad weather in her area. Please send up some prayers for her and her family!)

Here is a peeky at the RRR March Ribbon Club Assortment. This assortment is called Spring Rainbow of Color! Wow! I love the ROYGBIV color scheme! Bonnie always picks the best colors for the club assortments!
I had no idea what colors to use out of this batch! I love all of the colors and really wanted to use each one. However, reason reared its ugly head, and I knew I could only make ONE project. After I sat and looked at them for days and days, a project finally popped into my head!
Sometimes, things just gel. I had colored this image a few months ago, but had never used it because I had cut the paper all wonky! The image is a digital stamp from Power Poppy called Tulips in Hobnail Pitcher, which I printed along with a few other images, and somehow, when I cut the images apart...disaster happened! The image shape was not conducive to a square, a rectangle, or a circle! So, this beauty just sat there on my desk!

I had also purchased a few 6x6 paper pads a few months ago, and those also had been sitting on the desk, unused. Well, all this unused gorgeousness started jumping up and down and waving when they saw the March Ribbon Club!
To solve my image dilemma, I ended up fussy cutting around the edge of the image! It worked out pretty well. I used some foam tape to pop the image off the card.

I tied a double bow with the Satin Swiss Dot Red (one of my favorite red ribbons) and the Daffodil Checkerboard Satin. The red and yellow ribbons perfectly match the tulips I colored!
I also wrapped both ribbons up the side of the card and added some red and yellow cardstock. The striped and gingham papers are also perfect, and not too busy. I also found some great pearls, enamel dots, and paper brads in my stash to match the colors!

The green leaves really pop off the page, don't they?! I decided on a simple sentiment and the inside of the card is blank, ready for a message or Scripture.
I have been spending a lot of time coloring lately, and it is fun to finally use one of the images I colored! I regret that I did not write down what Copics I used, but I am sure you can play around with your own markers or pencils and color something that you love!

Thanks for stopping by today! Now, hop over to
Judy's Blog to see what she has for you!

I am entering this card into the Power Poppy Let's Go Green Power and Spark Challenge.
