I know that I used the Young at Heart Collection last month, but...how stinkin' cute is this pink scooter?!
Plus, I found out that Heartfelt Creations released a Limited Edition stamp and die combo called Carefree Journey! The stamp and die combo has a stamp and matching die of the scooter! I cut the scooter for this card from the paper collection, but you could stamp the image and color it any color you wish before cutting it out!
The card is 4 1/2" tall and 6 1/2" wide. I know this is a bit of a strange size, but I thought that 5" x 7" was too big.
I then cut the Young at Heart paper that has the scooter sitting in front of the fence to 4" tall by 6" wide, making sure to get the lower left corner of the sheet of paper. I attached this piece to the card front.
I used the banner die from the Young at Heart die set to cut out the "best wishes" banner from a second sheet of the same paper.
I used the scooter die from the Carefree Journey set to die cut the scooter two times from the "B side" of this paper (the side with all the vehicles printed on it). I then fussy cut just the basket of flowers from one of the images.
Here is how the project should look so far. (Only yours will not be all blurry! Sorry about that!) If you do not have the matching dies, you can fussy cut the images with sharp scissors. I am not a fan of fussy cutting, so I like having the dies!
EDITED TO ADD: Please, folks, if you want this scooter stamp and die set, get it NOW. It is a Limited Edition, and once it's gone...it's gone! However it is on SALE for $19.99, which is $10 off the regular price! Get it HERE.
I used various thicknesses of foam adhesive to attach the scooter, basket of flowers, and banner to the main image.
I added some tiny (3mm) flat-back pears to the centers of the flowers. I also added a few enamel dots to the background.
But, my favorite thing by far is the flower soft that I added to all the flowers at the base of the fence! I must confess that this is a product that was given to me YEARS ago as part of a design team or something. I have no memory of ever using it! But, I never toss anything out, so...there it was in a bin, living with the glitter! And it is PERFECT for this project! I used three colors: Spring, Autumn, and Peony Pink. I used a toothpick to add some really tacky glue to the areas where I wanted to put the flower soft, and then just sprinkled it on! Presto change-o!
