SPAM Gets Us All in the End
Hello, lovely Readers!
I have had to turn on comment moderation due to someone spamming my blog lately. As soon as I feel they've gone away, I will turn it off again. So, if you post a comment, you won't see it straight away as I will have to give it the ol' thumbs up each time. What a drag!

ReplyDeleteThe printing looked Arabic, so I had no way of know what it was all about. But they would SPAM each comment about 10 times!!
DeleteJust sooo sad, that people don´t have anything better to do, but is also the reason I´ve almost dropped blogging, because it just got worser and worser, and even now it´s been almost 2 years, I still get´s dirty messages and new followers, who´s not one bit interested in crafting, and I simply don´t see, what they get out of it, so don´t understand why they keep doing it to sooo many people. But I really hope, that you´ll get rid of them and very soon, so we can all enjoy your lovely work in peacce.

I was getting hundreds of spam comments this past Nov & Dec and finally after changing my setting to only allowing users with Google accounts to comment which means no anonymous comments, they finally stopped. Before that I went in an reverted the post all the comments were coming in on to draft which stopped them just for awhile until they started on another post. So very frustrating but it's been good now.
ReplyDeleteI already had it set to disallow anonymous comments, so that was not the issue. They somehow have a Google Account and were using that. Since the printing was Arabic, I had no way to see what they were even posting! So frustrating!
