Card Folio with Authentique Gracious

For those looking for the October Coloring Series, I am running a little behind due to a mini getaway with my husband. {smile}
I will have the project posted by the coming weekend!

Good morning, Authentique Fans! I am ready for fall! Bring on the pumpkin spice and sweater weather! (Which won't arrive here in southern California until December or January, but a girl can hope!)
I have created a fall-themed project that is part card, part scrapbook folio, and part gift card holder! This sweet project is 7" tall and 5" wide. It flips open to reveal space for photos, notes, mementos, and a gift card!
The cover decoration is layered to allow the focal image to act as a magnetic closure for the little folio.
There is space to place a hidden photo or some journaling onto the cover!
Once the folio is all opened there is space at least 10 photos or journaling.  Plus there is a cute gift card pocket that fits a standard gift card (or a check or cash).
To make a folio, cut dark brown cardstock to 7" tall by 11" wide. Score on the long side from the left at 4 3/4", 4 7/8", 9 7/8", and 10". Fold and burnish the score lines.
Place the scored panel on your work surface with the 1" scored section to the left. This is the outside of the folio. Cut a strip of cardstock to 1" x 4" and attach to the center of the 1" panel as shown. This will become the latch for your folio. Cut decorative paper to fit the strip (7/8" x 3 7/8").

Cut paper for the center panel, which will become the back of the folio. Cut this paper to 6 7/8" x 4 3/8" and attach.

Place a magnet onto the far right panel, approximately 3 1/4" from the top edge and 2" from the right edge. Then, cut Spectrum Mustard Seed cardstock to 6 7/8" x 4 5/8" and attach to the right panel. This will become the front of the folio.
Trim decorative paper to 6 7/8" x 7/8" and attach to the first skinny panel, as shown.
Cut decorative paper to 6 3/4" x 4 1/2" and attach to the Mustard Seed cardstock panel. Then, fold the folio on the score lines so that all the paper you just added is on the outside surface. Your project should look like the one above.
Add a banner die cut from the Gracious Elements sheet to the upper left of the folio front. Glue some leaves to the corners as shown, making sure they will line up with the front focal image.

Cut a strip of paper to to 6 7/8" x 7/8" and attach to the closure strip on the right.
Mat an ephemera card with dark brown cardstock and Mustard Seed cardstock. (The images are 4" x 3".) Attach an image to the closure strip, making sure to place a magnet on the back to line up with the one hidden under the paper of the front cover.

Add flowers and other embellishments as desired.
Open the"latch" closure. Add a matted decorative image to cover the area where you placed your magnet. This mean you will have an ephemera card on both sides of the "latch" closure.
Open the folio fully and decorate the inside panels. To create a pocket on the first inside panel, cut brown cardstock to 3" x 5 1/2". Score at 1/2" on three sides to make the pocket. Add decorative paper as shown.

Add a waterfall element to the second panel. Each waterfall panel is 4 5/8" x 4 1/8", scored at 1/2" on the top edge to make the tab. The bottom corners are rounded. Use magnets to hold the flaps closed, if desired.
Add ephemera cards and photo mats to the pocket. Add decorative paper to the waterfall flaps.
Under the last waterfall page, add a journaling spot and a gift card holder.
