Power Poppy Christmas Remix Hop - Day 4

Welcome to Day 4 of the Power Poppy Christmas Remix Hop! If you missed any of the days, please visit the Power Poppy Blog! I am not participating in every day of the release, so make sure you go take a look at what the rest of the girls are doing with all these fantastic images!
There is nothing more festive for the holidays than beautiful flowers and sparkling baubles! Coloring this image was so much fun and it really got me into the Christmas decorating spirit!
Today, we are showcasing Winter Flora, which comes with 7 images!
I used Photoshop to pick this digital image apart and create a long, garland style image! To learn more about how to work with digital images, see THIS post by Julie. I was able to digitally cut and paste the various elements from the main image together to make this lovely garland.
The sentiment is also part of the Winter Flora set. I placed the sentiment along the bottom edge of the image. Once I had the image looking just the way I wanted it, I printed it onto my marker-friendly cardstock.

This card fits into a #10 business size envelope (9 1/2" x 4"). I love this long, skinny card size!
I colored the image with Copic markers, with a little shading done with Prismacolor Pencils and a white gel pen.
I stayed with traditional Christmas colors. (And yes, it is bugging me that I forgot to add the gel pen highlight to that big, blue bauble!)
Thanks for looking! Now, hop on to the other designers to see what they made!

  7. Gorgeous Gloria, I love how you made this in to a beautiful garland. I like the size of the card, I have a lot of envelopes that fit this size card but it's not always easy to find images that you can use on it. So great to see what and how you have done this. Thank you so much for sharing your inspiration, have a wonderful day.

    1. Thank you! With digital images it is so easy to change up the size and configuration! It is a lot of fun to play with them to see what you can make. I cannot draw, but I can manipulate! ;)
