Welcome to the Really Reasonable Ribbon July Blog Hop! I cannot believe how fast the summer is flying by! However, where I live we will have summer temperatures well into November, at least during the day. Adjusting to this near-to-the-desert climate has been interesting, and fun!
You should be coming to my blog from Ginny's Blog. After visiting me hop on to Kathy's Blog next! (The full blog list is at the end of the post.)
At the end of the hop, comment on the RRR Blog post, answering the question listed, for a chance to win the July Ribbon Club Assortment shown below. The Design Team appreciates your comments, too!The July Ribbon Club is called Vintage Floral Assortment. I have been working with Bonnie and RRR off and on for well over 10 years. And I have not loved a ribbon assortment as much as I love this one! Something about the shades of blue and pink in this one just speaks to something deep in my soul. So much so that I ordered more of it!
Vintage pink and blue...oh how lovely! I do confess that the camera did not pick up the color as well as I would have liked. The lighting in my new craft room is...odd. I am going to have to shuffle out to the covered patio from now on, I think, for my photos, which does not fill me with glee! {insert frowny face}
At any rate, I created a 5" x 7" card from a dark gray cardstock and layered on papers from the Authentique Calendar collection. I love this paper collection and I am super sad that they are no longer producing product! I miss their vintage vibe!
I wrapped the tall panel with the Pink and Blue Vintage Floral Print on White Satin. I also made a flat knot of ribbon so that it would peek out from under the stacked bows.

This ribbon is so beautiful. I am not normally a fan of this type of printed ribbon, but this one is just beautiful. I almost wish I could have wallpaper for one wall somewhere in my house with this print and these colors!
I then wrapped the striped panel with Wild Rose Taffeta and Wild Rose Satin Swiss Dots.I then created several bows from the same ribbons and stacked them together. I tucked a few ephemera postage stamp images under the edge of the ribbon, too.
I kept the inside of the card blank so it can be used for a variety of occasions. I always line my cards with off-white, cream, ivory, or white cardstock to make it easy to write a message or stamp a sentiment.
