Really Reasonable September Blog Hop

Welcome to the Really Reasonable Ribbon September Blog Hop! Well, we are now in wildfire season here in my area. There is a huge fire burning east/southeast of where I live. We have had smoke and ash, but yesterday we got some rain from Hurricane Kay! I have been posting photos and updates to my Facebook, so you can go there to see more information if you wish. (Links to my social media are to the right.)

You should be coming to my blog from Ginny's Blog After visiting me hop on to Kathy's Blog next! (The full blog list is at the end of the post.)

At the end of the hop, comment on the RRR Blog post, answering the question listed, for a chance to win the September Ribbon Club Assortment shown below. The Design Team appreciates your comments, too!

The September Ribbon Club is called Halloween Assortment. I look forward to the holiday assortments every year. I love all our holidays, and while Halloween is not one I particularly celebrate, I do have a fondness for vintage Halloween images. Cute postcards from a bygone era are my favorite.
I chose this adorable image from the Authentique Paper Twilight Collection. It reminds me of the vintage postcards of my mom's generation (1930's and 1940's). The whole card was built around the sweet image.

I created a 6" x 6" card from black cardstock. I always line the insides with off-white cardstock, and sometimes a little strip of printed paper or even a stamped image or message.
I combined the Authentique Papers Twilight collection with the Graphic 45 Eerie Tale collection. Perfect match! The die cut sentiment is from a set of dies from  Papertrey Ink.

Tip: All this stuff is older and has been languishing in my stash for a while. I am trying to NOT buy much in the way of papercraft products just now, and using the VAST HOARD I have already amassed! You can make a similar card to mine with any other paper collection in your stash! Give it a try!
Now, for the ribbons! I used the 5/8" Black Double-Faced Satin ribbon to make a nice bow for the top right of the image. Then I added a smaller bow made from the 3/8" Black Sheer Satin Edge with Gold Accents ribbon. I like to have two different ribbons peeking out!

I added a third bow, also made from the 3/8" Black Sheer Satin Edge with Gold Accents and glued it next to the die cut sentiment.

I added some flowers and charms, too! The flowers are Peach/Orange/White Mix Chrysanthemums and Mixed Peach/Orange Rosebuds.
Those cute charms are from my stash, and I got them a while ago at Funkie Junkie Boutique. They still have them in the shop, so if you "need" them, go forth!

I almost forgot to mention the dripping goo border punch! I is possibly called "dripping paint" or "dripping blood," but...I say it's goo. Covers all the bases! {grin}

Now, hop over to Kathy's Blog to see what she has for you!
