Welcome to the Really Reasonable Ribbon March Blog Hop! Our hop theme this month is SPRING AND EASTER. Each of the design team ladies is going to be creating a project in this theme or style, using ribbon!
You should be coming to my blog from Ginny's Blog. After visiting me hop on to Kathy's Blog next! (The full blog list is at the end of the post.)
At the end of the hop, comment on the RRR Blog post, answering the question listed, for a chance to win a $10 Gift Card to the RRR Shop, plus one digital stamp set of your choice from Bonnie Garby Designs. The Design Team appreciates your comments, too!
I have been interested in playing with some of my word art stamps lately, because some friends of mine have been sharing cards for a new challenge blog called Word Power: A Challenge Blog Using Sentiments. It is such a great idea for a challenge! (Sneaky information....I am going to be a guest DT over there in May!) Anyway, I pulled out more of my word art stamps for my RRR card today!
The card is a 5" x 6" top fold card. I used an old, unmounted rubber stamp from Taylored Expressions called Graphic Greetings: Redeemer. I love this style of word art and this message is perfect for Easter...or any time of the year! The paper is some scraps from some of the Authentique Easter collections, but I am not sure which ones. I had a bunch of scraps in a bag, and didn't feel like matching them up to any particular collection. You know how we do...just toss scraps around willy nilly.
The ribbon is 5/8" Pearl Pink Delicate Stitched Satin. I wrapped some ribbon around the bottom of the panel before attaching the panel to the card front. Then I created a loopy bow to glue onto the circle element on the card. I sort of wish I had scooted the wrapped ribbon up a bit to be even with the center of the bow, but....ah well.
The decorative elements are the cute doily cut using an Elizabeth Craft Designs Elements: Small Doilies die, and the pink enamel dots. I am not sure which company those dots are from as the packaging was missing. I enjoyed making this pink card, all ready for spring and Easter!
Thanks for joining me today! Have fun hopping!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful card! the colors and stamp are perfect for the season :)
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely stunning, Gloria. I'm so happy to have you share your wonderful art with us at Word Art Wednesday. Not just because it's a scriptural card, but because your art is amazing and I want everyone to see it. Thanks so much for playing along and please join us again soon. I appreciate it SO much.

P.S. Thank you also for sharing with us this month at Word Power Challenge. The big sentiment makes such a lovely focal point and you put it together so beautifully (as always). I'm not on the DT at Word Power, but I'm the Guest Designer this month, so I just thought since I was already here, I'd also thank you for playing along there. I feel like the more you share your cards in challenges, the more people who will see it, enjoy it, and hopefully head on over to Really Reasonable Ribbon. Right? Hope you're having a blessed week, my friend.
Thanks for the lovely thoughts! I am trying to remember to share on challenge blogs, but it has been a long time since I dabbled in that world, that I just keep forgetting! I love both Word Art Wednesday and Word Power, so....I will keep a note on my computer to remember!!!
DeleteGloria, your card is nothing short of gorgeous! I love all the details. And what especially struck me is your sentiment, paired with the pastel colors. Sometimes when we think of the names of Jesus we think of Christmas, but this is perfect for any time of year! As guest designer over at Word Art Wednesday, I just wanted to pop over and say Hi and thank you for sharing your talents with us! Hugs my sister in Christ!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your lovely comment. I don't enter challenges very much any more, but I should! Especially when I use a Christian message! ;)
DeleteSo pretty. Love the mix of papers and the pretty bow and doily.
ReplyDeleteThis is so beautiful and I love that it conveys the reason for the Easter season.
ReplyDeleteits cool
