This layout was for a challenge I did at my LSS scrapbook club - TNT at Ever After Scrapbooks. (TNT stands for Tuesday Tips and Techniques.) The challenge was two-fold: to have a lot of "white space" on the layout, and to use texture without adding lumpy embellishments.

Well the texture one, I could do. I used my Score-Pal to create dimension on my background paper, and a Cuttlebug embossing folder to create texture on my journaling block. (The texture did not come thru on the scan very well, but it's there - trust me!) The white space was an issue for me! It's hard for me to do such a plain layout! And my dh said, "I don't like that one AT ALL!" I also have a hard time with white background paper...but I tried it. I like this simple layout, but dh is entitled to his opinion!

And it counts as a layout DONE!

  1. I actually really like this layout. It's "crisp and clean" and really showcases what is most important in EVERY layout...your awesome photos!

    Great job!

  2. Love the layout! Beautiful picture!

  3. I think the layout is great Gloria, what do men know!
