365 Cards Sketchy Sunday

The sketch for today at 365 Cards was amazing to work with! Pam really does a great job giving us fun sketches each Sunday!

I used some new We R Memory Keepers paper for this card. We got some in our kit at the LSS TNT club this month, and I liked it so I purchased a few more sheets. It has one full pattern on one side, then the flip side has a quad pattern. Very cool for card making!

This card is a 6x6...my favorite size to create!

I added some ink to the white paper flower to give it more dimension. The "sugared" brad was hiding out in my stash. I created the greeting block in Microsoft Word and printed it on white cardstock. Then I used the Spellbinders Labels Nestie to cut and emboss the greeting. I edged it with pink ink.

Here is a close-up of the stitching. I used the Bazzill Stitches template to mark my holes for stitching, then I hand stitched with some white DMC floss. (I'll be writing a review on the templates for CropStop in June...so stay tuned for that!)

Hope you make time to visit the 365 Cards blogs to see what the rest of the DT did with the sketch!

  11. Gloria,

What a great card! I used to stitch like this and forgot about that technique. Thanks for the reminder:) Love how you did the sentiment, too:) Can't wait to see this IRL.
