This was a lot of fun. I went through my stash looking for boyish stuff, and I found some good things. However, nothing was what I really wanted, except this HUGE Daisy D's ticket, which is from their older Christmas line! So...I made stuff!
I made the pinwheel from some Daisy D's paper and the hat from a page torn from an old textbook. (Relax, I did NOT tear a page out of the kids' school books! Honest!)
The background is adhesive backed fabric from Making Memories. I purchased this at least 6 years ago! And never opened the package! I am a terrible hoarder!
The next project is the card for my 365 Cards Monday DT spot. The challenge for today was to make a card that somehow conveyed ALL FOUR seasons. I knew I wanted to use either this stamp set or my trees set. This one ruled the day!
both are fantastic !! the pinwheel and the paper hat are awesome :) great boy tag! and your getting so good at following the rules on 365 LOL you be good for the week as i wont get to play and dont want to miss any new tricks you have to show me LOL!!! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Rose. I am not sure I'll have any time to play this week either. Dh is on vacation all week and we have family stuff planned. I did not get the challenges done early (the DT gets to have them early, which is how I'm able to play along sometimes....yeah, that's cheating too!) Anyway, there may not be any extra cards from me this week. I know, y'all are soooooo sad!
ReplyDeleteI luv your project esp the pinwheel...nice touch to it. Lovely card too... still working on my card!
ReplyDeleteLove the pinwheel. Both cards are super.

Wow, tough challenge, but you did a super job. I think your acetate tag is just amazing, a wonderful job, the pinwheel the hat, great, great.
ReplyDelete? last week, I think, you used an iris stamp that you mentioned was from SU and came with 2 or3 other flowers, do you happen to remember the name of that set, I really love it and can't seem to find it, when you get a chance I'd love to know.
Thanks for all your inspiration.
Beautiful work! I love the pinwheel- so whimsical and summery. The four seasons card is great too.
ReplyDeleteOkay, as the mother of three boys, it's sooo nice to see boy things -- that pinwheel and the paper hat are fantastic! Awesome work Gloria. Oh, I have a daughter too, but girl stuff is around every corner.
