Friday Cuttlebug Project - 1/29

You know how I am always telling you I shop in my stash? Well, I also shop for real and buy things like this amazing Cuttlebug Asian embossing folder set! The fun part is that I have a bunch of other Asian inspired goodies in my hoard! So my new toys - the Lantern embossing folder from CropStop and the Martha Stewart butterfly punch I snagged at Michael's yesterday - can play with some other stuff from my stash!

I embossed ColorCore Cardstock from Core'dinations with the Lanterns folder, then sanded it. The lighter teal core was exposed. So pretty! My printed paper is really origami paper from my stash. I have loads of this stuff that I got a long time ago when a Ben Franklin Crafts was getting rid of it. This goes back at least 12 years or longer!

I found the faux Japanese postage stamp in my stash too. I have loads of this sort of thing. ETA: This is a postage stamp sticker, not a rubber stamp. Confusing, but it's a sticker. I did NOT stamp and color this image. It came on a sheet of other postage stamps and has a sticky back.

I used my new Martha punch to make the little butterflies by punching the origami paper.

I was going to add some coins and beads with some fibers, but in the end decided to keep it simple, in the style of a lot of Asian art. I will add a sentiment to the inside later.
